Chapter Four – A New Kind Of Easter

Terry C. Thomas provides an introduction to chapter four of his book: At Least We Were Married.

At six the next morning, I rolled over and looked at my watch. I was singing in the Easter sunrise service choir and was supposed to line up to sing at ten minutes to six. Had it not been that an exciting determination had come to my mind the previous evening, I would have put my head under the pillow and slept on. But I jumped out of bed, piled into my Volkswagen, and tore down the beach. I had a plan, and the only obstruction would be Nancys not showing up.

Stopping the car and jumping out, I ran to where the choir was to meet. Everyone was already assembled, and as I quickly made my way to my place, to my gleeful surprise, the fifth person I had to pass was Nancy Jane.
